Fall Conferences

Dear Parents,

Fall conferences are approaching.  The Worthing/Wagner team will be conducting conferences on Thursday, November 10^th from 4:00-7:00pm and Thursday, November 17^th from 4:00-7:00pm.

This year our team is scheduling student-led conferences. Each student will lead an organized discussion with their parents about their progress thus far in 6th grade.  Students will be doing a lot of work in the days preceding the scheduled conference time preparing an academic portfolio.  This portfolio will be designed to ensure that this time is spent in rich, meaningful conversation between the student and his/her parents.  If they have not already brought their 1-inch portfolio binder into school, please have them do so by Monday, October 31st.

During this time both teachers will be available to answer questions.  Please understand that if you feel that we have not been able to address your needs or concerns during this time frame, you should call or email your child’s teachers. We ask that students who have multi household families only schedule one conference period and have all family members attend during that time. Thank you in advance for your understanding as we accommodate the schedules of over sixty families and our own.  Likewise, if you are unable to finish going through the portfolio in the twenty minutes allotted, please feel free to take it home and finish the conference there after we have met with you.
