Half Day (3 Hour) Preschool

The Preschool Enrichment Program is a developmental preschool for 3 & 4 year old children of parents who are able to drop-off & pick-up the children on specified days & times.  This program offers strictly "preschool time", where children are given an opportunity to interact socially with children their own age, and to grow in independence & confidence in & outside the classroom. 

Our primary goal for the children is to provide a safe, pro-social learning environment that encourages each child's independence by asking questions, finding solutions, developing ideas, exploring, & experimenting.  We expose children to a wide variety of experiences through "hands-on" enrichment activities.  We want children to have both a sense of confidence & competence.  During this time of growth, we hope to guide each child's changing interests and abilities through social relationships with other children, understanding, caring teachers, & appropriate play materials. 

Our highly trained & qualified staff incorporate preschool themes, concepts & activities into the classroom's daily schedule in order to provide each child with social, emotional, physical, cognitive & language development.  These activities include science exploration, creative art projects, language & literacy activities, math skill building, music & movement activities, pretend play, & large/fine motor skill activities.  Learning occurs both formally & informally.  The classroom's daily schedule is structured with a variety of activities & events, however, it is flexible in order to incorporate unplanned learning opportunities that may arise.

Tot Spot Childcare

The Tot Spot Childcare program upholds the standards of a nationally accredited center and is licensed to provide care for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age.

Infant

The infant/toddler years are truly amazing.  They are filled with magical discoveries, developmental achievements, strides in independence and a multitude of challenges.  Our Infant Care Program is dedicated to creating and maintaining the highest quality of care that encourages your child to grow to his/her fullest potential in all areas of development.  The infant classroom was designed with the safety and developmental needs of your child as our primary goal.  The room is spacious, well-lit, clean and appointed with the appropriate learning centers.

Our staff has been very carefully selected for their education, experience and love of young children.  The staff is dedicated to ensuring that not only your child's needs are met in a stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment, but also to helping parents embrace and savor the wonderful adventures that their infant will provide.  We offer continuity of care to minimize transitions for the child.  Research has shown that providing infants/toddlers with a consistent caregiver allows them to maintain a sense of security which lets them explore more freely the world around them.

Toddler

The toddler years are truly amazing, marked by so much growth and change.  They begin to perceive themselves as separate from other people.  They become more independent and able to do things for themselves.  They are rapidly developing expressive language and becoming better able to relay their likes and dislikes to others.  Toddlers are filled with magical discoveries, developmental achievements, strides in independence and a multitude of challenges. 
  
Our Toddler Care Program is dedicated to creating and maintaining the highest quality of care that encourages your child to grow to his/her fullest potential in all areas of development.  The toddler classrooms were designed with the safety and developmental needs of your child as our primary goal.  Each classroom features developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities implemented by the teaching staff that reflect the developmental needs and upcoming milestones of each child.  Most of the activities are hands-on, enabling children the opportunity to explore the world around them in a safe and secure environment.  Toddlers find consistent routines to be comforting, which in turn optimizes their learning experience.

Preschool

Your child’s preschool years are truly exciting to watch as they are developing more socially, developing their friendships with other children, and beginning to understand their own feelings. They are also becoming even more active as they run, jump, climb and begin riding tricycles. Preschool children will begin playing make believe, sorting objects by shape and color, as well as using a minimum of 250 words.

Tot Spot provides a developmentally appropriate childcare program for three to five year old children. Our childcare preschool program is for parents who need their child cared for during the day. Our program offers flexible scheduling which allows parents to switch the days their child attends from week to week based on their needs. The program utilizes the same curriculum as the 3 hour preschool enrichment program. The childcare/preschool combo program has a designated preschool time in the mornings from 9-12, with the afternoon being childcare. The activities in the classroom allow for the children to play through learning as well as setting aside time for large, small and individual group time with teachers in which their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical skills will be enhanced. Each childcare/preschool classroom has a variety of activity centers, which include: reading, art, science, blocks, puzzles, games, large group, kitchen, dress-up, and table-top activities.

Each class is taught by an experienced, educated team consisting of a lead teacher and qualified staff. Our staff has been very carefully selected based on their education, experience and love of teaching children. The staff is dedicated to ensuring needs are met in a stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment.

Before/After School Programs

5 Locations 

Our before/after school programs are on-site at the various elementary/intermediate schools, providing care for junior kindergarten through 6th grade.

School age childcare, called Friendship Centers, will be offered at all Brighton elementary schools, junior kindergarten through fourth grade. Care will also be offered at Bullpup Club at Maltby Intermediate School for fifth and sixth grades. Children engage in a variety of activities including boards games, time for homework, crafts, play outside, air hockey, foosball and listen to music.

The centers are open from 7-9am and 3:30-6pm and are open on most no-school days. Friendship Centers have $36/week minimum. Bullpup Club is open from 7-8:30am and 3:00-6:00pm with a $12/week minimum. For more information call 810.299.3819
