Aaron Walter is currently in his 12th year as a teacher with Brighton Area Schools.  For his first two years in the district he was a rotating physical education teacher between Miller Early Childhood Center, Hornung Elementary, Hawkins Elementary, and Lindbom Elementary.  In addition, he also taught adaptive physical education at Maltby and Scraton Middle School.  He was the wrestling head coach from 2005-2007. From 2007-Present he has been at Brighton High School.  He has taught psychology, physical education, advance P.E., weights plus, and on-line learning. Mr. Walter helped to develop AP Psychology, sits on the high schools technology committee, attends coordinators meeting, and is the high school representative to the districts safe schools committee.  Currently, he is teaching Psychology and On-line Learning.

Mr. Walter is from Jackson, MI where he graduated in the top ten in his class at East Jackson High School in 1997.  He went on to get a Bachelors of Science from University of Michigan with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Psychology in 2002.  As an undergraduate, Mr. Walter was a member of the schools wresting team and was the Student Athlete Advisor Council President. In 2005, Mr. Walter, received his Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan.  In 2015 he received a second masters degree, this time in Educational Leadership from the Central Michigan University. 

Mr. Walter lives in Livingston County with his wife Amanda Walter (Small), who graduated from Brighton High in 1999 and is a 3rd grade teacher in Howell Public Schools. In March of 2011 they welcomed their first child, Ellana Linee, into the world.  In January or 2015 they had their second child, Levi Jackson.  Mr. Walter enjoys spending time with his family and is active in his church.
